handheld rescue - westpac
The Westpac Rescue Chopper relies entirely on public donations to fund rescue missions. But people had forgotten the Chopper was even a charity.
We needed to show people how necessary their donations were. So we created an interactive video of a car crash victim who needed help. If you ignored her, the video followed you across the internet, with the story evolving and getting bleaker each time. However, if you interacted with the video, a rescue mission unfolded and you were encouraged to donate.
Kiwis rushed to do the right thing and save real lives too, with donations rising for the first time in five years.
